1. Tell us about yourself Ola, and how you got to be where you are today? My interest in nutrition began a few years ago when my health was at its lowest and I was looking for answers how to cure myself. That's how I discovered Institute of Health Sciences, where studied Nutritional Therapy and where I found out about the Functional Medicine. Implementing this knowledge to improve my diet and lifestyle allowed me to overcome all the health issues I was suffering from. I thought then, this is amazing! I want to tell everyone how wonderful they can feel using only the power of nutrients. And also, to teach them how to do it, because healthy living is possible for everyone. Now I'm working as a full time Nutritional Therapist for my company Positive Vitality and I'm totally loving it! I provide a wide range of nutritional services, like workshops, talks, corporate wellness, sports nutrition, consultations, advance functional testing and natural supplements and I enjoy every bit of it. Helping people to improve their health is extremely rewarding and gives me a lot of satisfaction. 2. Tell us how you spend your average working day? My typical day I start with a pint of filtered water and coffee with coconut cream. I try to drink it in my garden, standing barefoot on the grass (performing so called 'earthing') and thinking about things I'm grateful for (performing 'gratitude'). This routine is seeing me up in a positive mood for the rest of the day. I practice intermediate fasting and follow ketogenic diet most of the time. Therefore I delay my breakfast till around 12-1pm, meanwhile I would drink water and high fat coffee. When work from home I do my emails, consultation follow ups or preparing for consultations, writing slides for my presentations or writing articles for health magazines, creating recipes and photographing it, working on my ebook, doing videos or blog posts, etc. On some days I'm working in town doing workshops, corporate wellness programs or consultations. Around a mid day I would have a brunch, which is eggs and avocado or chia porridge with coconut milk or linseed crackers with mackerel pate, anything high fat, healthy and delicious. I'd also have some natural supplements, like a superfood combination and fish oil capsules. Then I go back to work until 5-6-7pm, depending on the day. After work is a workout time, my favorite workout currently is 10k fast cycling to the beach, 30 min swim in a sea water and 10k cycling back. I try to do that 2-3 times a week. Sea swim is amazing and it makes me feel like a super-human after, love it! If i don't swim I do high intensity interval training (HIIT) with weights, or Stand up paddle boarding (SUP), or mountain-biking or learning to kite surf. I'm very active in general and most of the weeks I would exercise 5 times a week. After workout is relax: yoga and foam rolling. Then I have a dinner: meat/fish/poultry and a huge green salad with lots of healthy fats in a dressing, like olive oil, avocado, olives, avocado oil and spices up with essential oils, like oregano or basil for an extra health boost. After dinner I would watch a funny movie or read a book and then bed and sleep around 8h. 3. What inspires you?
