Look out people, there are some naughty protein treats launching on shelves near you and they're completely addictive. Trust me, i'm hooked! Munchy Seeds have launched a range of flavoured seeds in easy to carry packs so you can enjoy them on-the-go, as an office snack or even mid-commute.

Munchy Seeds

Their brand new Salted Caramel Seeds from Munchy Seeds are a blend of roasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds with a pinch of coconut and a sprinkle of sea salt flakes. The result? A sweet and salty taste sensation that you won't be able to resist! The new Salted Caramel Seeds are available in 120g tall pots, RRP £2.49 and 25g handy snack packs, RRP 70p from Waitrose.

Seeds are the ultimate snack as they are packed with natural protein, vitamins and minerals that will help fill you up when you're looking for a quick fix. Though these are billed as a 'healthy snack' i found them quite sweet and would limit them to a 'naughty treat' with a healthy theme only to be consumed in moderation.

Having tried all the Munchy Seeds flavours, salted caramel was definitely my favourite, and i highly recommend you try adding a pack to some natural yoghurt for a really yummy dessert in the evening. And of course, because they're largely seed-based, you are eating a much healthier dessert than cracking open a bar of chocolate, so almost sin free!

Salted Caramel Seed Dessert Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Salted Caramel Munchy Seeds 25g handy pack

  • Small pot of natural yoghurt (greek yoghurt also works)

Method:

1. Mix both of the above together

What i especially love about Munchy Seeds is their commitment to Green Sustainable methods. All 9 tasty flavours are vegetarian and 6 of those are suitable for vegans (Salted Caramel, Super Berry, Omega Sprinkles, Savoury Crunch, Chilli Bites and Sesame Sprinkles).
