We're introducing 'Thrive', a 2 day Wellness Festival featuring free Yoga classes, mindfulness coaching, talks on nutrition, personal development and so much more! Now in its 5th year, the two-day Groove Festival, brought to you by Energia, returns to Killruddery House & Gardens in Bray, Co. Wicklow on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th August 2017. Thrive (Groove Festival’s all new health, fitness and wellness quarter) offers festival goers the chance to relax, rejuvenate and reenergise the mind, body and soul.
Thrive is all-inclusive in the incredible value festival tickets, offering the chance to try all the classes all day long and then party the night away too. Day tickets to Groove are just €59.50 (+booking fee) for the best in music on the main stage, including Primal Scream, UB40, Hothouse Flowers, Hudson Taylor, Jerry Fish plus lots more and also including the most exciting of emerging Irish music talent on the Sony Xperia Stage. There is a jam-packed programme with a whopping 35 free movement classes and wellness workshops.
Groovers can ‘rise and rave’ into their festival day with the hugely popular Morning Gloryville, kick starting the Thrive schedule on Saturday 19th at 11.00am. Whether it’s letting your hair down to a vibrant dance class, realigning the body with Platinum Pilates, or finding a moment of Zen with classes from some of Ireland’s leading yoga teachers including Julie Burke, Cathy Pearson and Kitty Maguire, the Thrive Movement Stage will have festival goers stretched, loose and ready for an evening of dancing to the sounds of Groove Festival’s stellar line up of top international and local music acts.

If you're more interested in hearing tips and advice from wellness experts head to the Talk Stage where health and wellness experts including Andrea Hayes, Chris Flack, Emma Buckley and Roz Purcell will share the secrets to nourishing the body and mind, inside and out. Activity will include healthy cooking demonstrations from the live on-stage kitchen, panel discussions, wellness workshops, and informative Q&A sessions where you can put your burning questions to the experts.
The Festival run's from 11am to 7pm over the two days of Groove Festival, with access and participation for all classes included within the price of the Festival ticket. So make sure you get down there early to take your place in either stage before they get packed out!
The exciting line up will feature over 20 leading names from the world of health, fitness and wellness in Ireland including:
Roz Purcell from Natural Born Feeder, will be speaking on all things healthy eating and giving a cooking demo of her delicious, nutritious food.
Emma Buckley will be discussing how to make healthy eating easy for a busy family.
Oliver McCabe, author of Fit Food and owner of Dalkey’s Select Stores, will be speaking about childhood obesity and how to teach your kids healthy habits in the kitchen.
Andrea Hayes, author and broadcaster will host a workshop on goal setting and mindfulness.
Holly White will be speaking about taking steps to swapping to a plant based diet.
Siobhán Murray, Dublin-based counsellor and psychotherapist will be part of an interesting panel discussion on how we lead out busy lives in 2017.
Learn to switch off with talks from Chris Flack of UnPlug. He will lead two discussions, Managing Screens at Home and Switching OFF and recharging in an always on world. Don’t we all need these!
Baby Led Weaning expert Aileen Cox Blundell will be giving lots of advice and demonstrations for the littlest Groovers.
Enjoy yoga with live looping from Gary Dunne of WILD, a movement and music fusion for creative people.
The Sea Gardener, Marie Power, will be leading a seaweed cooking workshop and giving fascinating insights about foraging for it plus its benefits.
Platinum Pilates team will be getting you flexed and ready for day at Thrive.
Kids & Toddler Yoga will be lots of fun for the children and parents alike.
There's also amazing music from international and local acts including Primal Scream, UB40 feat. Ali, Astro & Mickey, Hudson Taylor, Chasing Abbey, Jerry Fish, Hothouse Flowers, Cry Before Dawn, Ailbhe Reddy, Kormac Live and many more.
Family Fun in the all new Family Zone, which will host adventurous activities like sorbing, climbing walls, stand up paddle boarding and obstacle courses, as well as a schedule of activities at the Silly Billy stage, face painting and arts & crafts.
