ts that time of year, your hands feel clammy, your mouth is dry….you’re trying to Christmas shop for your loved ones but the pressure of picking the right gift, that doesn’t break the bank too is overwhelming. We’ve all been there.

But here at Wellclik we believe in remaining mindful and calm during the holiday season, so we’ve created a really easy guide for some alternative presents for friends and family that also like ‘Wellness’ – real gifts, that will really benefit them and don’t cost the earth.

Gifts for Back Pain First up, its the Standing Desk! Yes its true, the standing desk may be the greatest present you ever give, especially to someone who works from home, in software development or who suffers with a bad back. Varidesk is our favourite standing desk – we even have one in the office!

Varidesk

Standing Desks are known to increase productivity by up to 46%, inspire positive moods, better posture and overall energy levels. I personally use the Varidesk ProPlus 36 Priced at £365, it may seem steep but if your loved one suffers with back pain, i promise they will thank you profusely. mine is used by everyone in the office, so much so we’re thinking about introducing a roster in 2018. Highly recommended!

Gifts for Insomnia Next up its everyones favourite, Essential Oils! My preference is for a little known brand called Made by Coopers. This UK brand make a stunning lavender ‘Sleepy Head’ Room and Pillow Mist that is the perfect treat for any Insomnia sufferers in your life. It helps bad sleepers, ease gently into a more restful sleep, relaxing and soothing the mind.

Sleepy Head Room and Pillow Mist

I use the spray just before bed and even keep a bottle in my car for when the rush-hour traffic is stressing me out. None of their products contain chemicals, they’re perfect for any organic beauty fan, and they’re vegan too. Best of all this spray is only £12. Or try the Night Time Rituals Kit which comes with the Sleep Head mist, a lavender eye-pillow and a Sleep Head Beauty Balm for just £35

Moving on to Ethical Fashion! It can be next to impossible to locate a good, fashionable ethical fashion brand, especially as a gift for Christmas. My choice is the Ethical Collection

The Ethical Collection

Their pieces are stylish, chic and includes 40+ brands each with a wonderful story, including outerwear made from up-cycled blankets, jumpers raising money for UK’s endangered insects and items knitted by UK prisoners

More Ethical Gifts - Keep Cup

Now this is one i want this Christmas (if anyone is listening, hint hint). I carry my Keep Cup with me at all times, especially now that several coffee houses are offering a teeny discount if you use a reusable cup and save the planet at the same time.

The Keep Cup

You can now design your own Keep Cup, customising the size and colours and you can even add a logo if you want. Prices range from €9.50 to €14 and they are super durable and ethical. I will be hoping for a brand new one to replace my battered one this Christmas

Repetitive Strain Injury Gifts Finally one of my favourite suggestions that will get you serious WOW factor on the present-buying front – the Penclic B2 Wireless Mouse. I know what you’re thinking, a ‘mouse’ for Christmas but hear me out – this is seriously cool! If you know someone (like moi) who works on a computer all day and struggles with wrist pain respectively this is the gift.

Penclic B2 Mouse

It connects to your PC or Mac via Bluetooth so no need for a USB port and can be operated on any surface without a pad or tablet combining contemporary design and superior ergonomics. Priced at just £79.99 it will blow their socks off and win you serious browny points.

Now you have all your gifts bought, go and do what Christmas is really all about – spend time with your loved ones.
