The London Marathon is now just days away, and by this stage you'll have trained hard for months, have all your high-protein diet plans organised and your running gear all broken in. But have you thought about your training plan in the days leading up to the race? We've rounded up some options.

Following an in-depth assessment from a Workshop Gymnasium Performance Specialist, competitors will learn techniques to establish the perfect running posture including foot strike and running stride along with essential advice on how to maintain performance during the race.

With the April London Marathon fast approaching, Akasha Wellbeing Centre at Hotel Café Royal is now offering the ultimate marathon-training programme – Marathon Sanctuary.
In complete contrast from its rival marathon training programmes, Hotel Café Royal’s retreat works equally for the inner self and mind, in treatments such as a personalised Indian massage; Deep Tissue Sports Massage; De-Stress Muscle ice bath and meditation and mindfulness sessions in the Spa’s dedicated Meditation room.

Marathon Day, Sunday 23 April

Post Marathon, a De-Stress Muscle ice bath will be available to really invigorate muscles for recovery
