From August 15th to September 15th Timberland, in partnership with Pur Projet, will plant a tree for every pair of kids shoes sold, and the geo-localization tool will allow every child to locate on a map where his tree will be planted.

Buy your pair of kids shoes and, if you are in store, leave your email: after few days, you will receive your digital certificate about your tree.

All trees will be planted in Transylvania, where landscapes have been marked by extensive agriculture and original forests have long been cleared.

With this initiative, Timberland and Pur Pojet are supporting the Mihai Eminescu Trust (MET), an award-winning charity dedicated to the conservation and regeneration of villages and communities in Transylvania, which in 2009 has launched the "A forest for every school" project. Their goal is to tackle climate change issues and improve the natural landscape by preserving and expanding forest as well as raising awareness of the importance of environmental preservation among the population by conducting educational activities and involving the local community in the tree planting process. Local children play an active role in reaching this goal and are involved in the plantation and care of the forests.
