Enjoy!
1. Turmeric-tastic
I'm obsessed with turmeric – the miracle antioxidant – it goes so well with the earthy carrot and sweet orange here. This juice is a total winner.
serves 1
2 carrots
3 oranges, peeled
1 knob of ginger, peeled
¼ tsp ground turmeric
Push all the ingredients except the turmeric through the juicer. Stir
the turmeric into the juice and serve.
Will keep in the fridge for 1–2 days.
Please note, this is a juice, not a smoothie, so it should be made in a juicer
not a blender.
2. Green is the new Black
Yes it is! This drink will leave you feeling amazing; it’s packed full of the queen of veggies – kale – and brought to life thanks to the ginger and lime. You will become addicted to this combo.
serves 1
100g kale
¼ pineapple, peeled, cored and cut into chunks
1 apple, cored
1 knob of ginger, peeled
½ cucumber
juice of ½ lime
Push all the ingredients except the lime juice in the juicer. Mix with the lime juice and drink.
Will keep in the fridge for 1–2 days.
Please note, this is a juice, not a smoothie, so it should be made in a juicer
not a blender.
3. Skip to the Beet
This quick, fresh juice is tasty, healthy and the best
colour ever. Be warned, if you’re clumsy like me it’s not
the best juice to drink while wearing a white top!
serves 1
1 beetroot
2 carrots
1 apple, cored
1 knob of ginger, peeled
½ papaya, peeled
juice of 1 lemon
Push all the ingredients except the lemon juice through the juicer. Stir in the lemon juice and drink immediately.
Will keep in the fridge for 1–2 days.
Please note this is a juice, not a smoothie, so it should be made in a juicer
not a blender.
4. Turmeric Milk
My favourite winter warmer; the golden colour and softness of flavours makes this drink so delightful that I can’t go a day without it.
serves 1
250ml almond or rice milk
½ tsp ground turmeric
1 tsp runny honey
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
tiny pinch of salt
Stir everything together in a small pan, bring to a simmer for a minute and then pour into a mug. Let it cool a little and enjoy!
