Anyone who reads this sites Beauty pages regularly will know I'm a huge fan of the Elemis skincare range, particularly their Eye Masks (in fact I'm wearing them right now as i type!). So i was delighted to see I'm in good company when model extraordinaire Jourdan Dunn admitted she used them to prep for the Met Gala when she gave us a sneak peek inside her make-up bag.

Her bright-eyed look is thanks to the ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks, £46, which are formulated to instantly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Potent planton extract, combined with the power of Padina Pavonica and Chlorella, provides an instant skin-tightening effect, whilst Hyaluronic Acid hydrated the fragile eye area. Eye contours are left looking visibly smoother and feeling intensely moisturised.

Jourdan also prepped for the Met Gala with an ELEMIS facial at the Georgia Louise Atelier in New York.

ELEMIS Consulting Facialist Georgia Louise has shared with us her top tips and tricks to get the perfect red carpet glow.

Tip #1 – Switch to an Oil Cleanser

“Oil cleansers really deep clean the skin without drying it out or alternating the pH balance”

Tip #2 – Peels are Essential

“Give yourself a glycolic or enzyme peel or even better, a resurfacing facial treatment to smooth, and soften the skin 1 week prior to the event”

Tip #3 – Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate

“Go to bed with a hydrating overnight mask at least 3 times a week, drink plenty of water and be sure to eat plenty of omega rich foods like avocado”

Tip #4 – Say Bye to Sensitive Skin

“Make sure to stop using any topical daily AHA’s & retinols 2 weeks prior to ensure skin isn’t peeling, sensitive or dry”

Tip #5 – Treat Yourself

“If you have the cash to splash, invest in an LED wand for at-home use. Make sure you use blue for breakouts and acne and red for wrinkles. You’ll see results after just 2 weeks”

Tip #6 – Boost Circulation

“Massage the skin at least 5 minutes, at a minimum of 3 times a week, to boost circulation and soften tense tight muscles”

Tip #7 – Go pro

“For my clients going to the Met Gala, I suggest a course of 3 facials over 3 weeks. Facial 1 will focus on detoxing, facial 2 on hydration and facial 3 on lifting and tightening. An ELEMIS BIOTEC facial at the Georgia Louise Atelier offers a bespoke combination of micro-current, oxygen infusion, galvanic and massage to ensure a radiant fresh faced complexion”

And finally Georgia's recommended essentials to look Red Carpet Ready:

Elemis Nourishing Omega-Rich Cleansing Oil, £29.50 and Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel, £32

I'm off to my nearest Elemis counter to pick up both!
