Get Beach-ready with our Beach guide

Ok, so you've booked your flights to somewhere hot and fabulous, you've been moisturising like a good-thing to prepare your skin for the sun and you have picked out the perfect pair of shades for your beach holiday, but we have picked out some essential things you may have forgotten

1. GHD Straighteners? Not everyones hair is able to handle the humidity so pack a pair. GHD have just launched a beach themed Azores collection so your straighteners can be 'pearl platinum', 'atlantic jade' or 'marine allure' in colour depending on your destination

2. Clarins Skin Boosters. These little vials of magic pack a punch when it comes to repairing dry, fatigued or congested skin from all that sunbathing. Don't leave home without them!

3. SUN PROTECTION!! Its in caps because it matters the most. You should never leave the house without your sun factor on, nevermind go on holidays. I use SPF 50+ all the time because i have such fair skin and as a kid growing up in Australia i was warned repeatedly about the dangers of sun exposure. La Roche Posay do a fantastic range of sun protection but my favourite is the Anthelios range as they suit all kinds of skin and blend really easily.

4. After-Sun. Just as essential as sun cream is aftersun. Its so important to replenish the moisture in your skin if you've been in the sun all day to help prevent sun damage. Try Vichy Ideal Soleil AfterSun as it can be used on dry skin or in the shower so its twice as convenient

5. A Hat. A hat is another essential in your travel bag for sun protection. You should try to wear your hat of choice as often as possible, especially if you've just been for a swim or are on a long walk on the beach. Do not leave home without one. I'm taking this one from Littlewoods with me this year!
